The Hartpury Showjumping Spectacular was bought to a close by three excellent classes as over 100 riders competed for the top three prizes of the day.
An earlier start than the previous day, Sarah Hicks was the first to scoop a first place winning the Zamar Open warm Up riding horse, Inka. Jake Rose then came out on top in the jump off, after 18 riders had gone clear, during the Andrews Bowen Amateur ‘A’ Tour Grand Prix aboard Lucy Greenwood’s Warren Miss Contendro.
The day, and in turn an excellent show, was complete when Mackenzie Ray took the main prize in the Holiday Inn Amateur ‘B’ Tour Grand Prix riding Oakingham Stud’s El Suenos Night Fever.
Today’s phase of the competition included several Hartpury students, with Giorgia Distefano the pick of the bunch as she finished a close second behind Sarah in the opening class.

The most action-packed day of the event, Saturday's billing lived up to it's reputation with five seperate classes and over 200 competitors aiming to get their hands on the top prizes.
Saturday started out with the NAF Superflex Small Tour Grand Prix, which, after moving into a jump off involving Hartpury student, Lucy Palmer, was won by Thomas Whitaker riding Bijou Du Rouet to the £1000 prize.
Peter Charles was the next of the successes, taking top and third spot in the Baileys Horse Feeds Big Tour Grand Prix, with Sophie Fawcett riding Quite Cadiz sandwiched in between Charles' two podium finishes aboard Stapleton Mist (1st) and Odie De Frevent (3rd). You can watch what Peter had to say about his win and the competition at Hartpury above.
